The National Council for Vocational Training, an advisory body, was set up by the Government of India in 1956 (the then National Council of Training in Vocational Trades—NCTVT). The Council has been entrusted with the responsibilities of prescribing standards and curricula for craftsmen training, advising the Government of India on the overall policy and programs, conducting All India Trade Tests and awarding National Trade Certificates.

DGT is received mails without mentioning but simply attaching files such mails will not be entertained. Only mails with clear message and relevant attachments will be entertained and responded.       CANDIDATES SEEKING ADMISSION IN ITIs FOR THE SESSION 2020-21 SHOULD HAVE VALID AND UNIQUE MOBILE NUMBER, EMAIL ID AND ADHAR NUMBER, ONLY SUCH CANDIDATES WILL BE ALLOWED FOR ADMISSION       ITIs are sending mail to DGT, New Delhi regarding Standing Committee Inspection of ITIs (delay in inspection), all such ITI are advised to contact State Directorate, if the State Directorate Officers are not responding to ITIs, then ITIs can reprsent to DGT with details of State Officers refusal to respond.       It was brought to the notice of DGT that some ITIs refusing for inspection, as it was clearly mentioned in Standing Committee Inspection letters no additional chance for Session 2020 will be given such ITIs should apply for Session 2021 again
